Help on diet!!!?
I am over weight and my doc gave me adipex and a reduced calorie diet…..I eat apprx. 900 cals a day and I walk a mile at least 3 to four times a week…(it rains alott here) I don’t seem to be losing like i thought i would …i started in mid June and I have lost only ten pounds is this normal or is it not enough weight loss for this time frame…any advice please I am 5 ft 4in and I am 260..I know.. I was so skinny in High school
I do not know where you are starting from, but I can tell you that it sounds like you have cut your calories too much and your body is fighting back. Cutting your calories back too much will actually SLOW your metabolism, not make it faster. I was losing weight for a while by eating better and smaller, more frequent meals, so I decided to eat a little less one week to get faster results (or so I thought) despite everything I read that said not to do that. It just seemed to make sense, right? Well my body actually stopped losing weight. There’s no better teacher than experience. I went back to my small meals and what I was eating before, and my weight loss resumed. Just be careful with how much you cut at one time, your body can go into starvation mode and actually hold on to everything you eat. Good Luck, I know it’s not easy.
