
Do you REALLY have to burn MORE calories that you EAT to lose weight?
Like, if you eat 1200 calories a day you have to burn like 1400?
Also, does exercising have any other effects then just simply lowering the amount of calories you consumed that day?(In weight loss and body slimming terms)

Well, we typically burn 1000-2000 calories a day with out doing anything at all other than normal activity, depending on life-style and metabolism.
SO, if you eat 1500 calories a day, and work out enough to burn 500, you’re doing OK.
Exercise burns fat and unneeded calories. Humans aren’t made to be couch potatoes, we’re meant to move. So sedentary lifestyle makes us gain fat.
You can lose a lot of weight by cutting calories, but after a while, you’ll plateau. But cut calories healthily, with in reason. Weight Watchers is a great program for this.
