Diet pill ingredient w/drug test?
My husband may get drug tested at work (they have been doing a lot of random testing). He does not take ANY illegal drugs. He has been taking Super Slim pills (From China) which we found out has sibutramine in it. Can sibutramine show up in a drug test? I can’t find any clear answers on the internet. Being that the pill he is on is not a prescription, what can we do if he does get tested and it comes back positive?
Sibutramine Hydrochloride Monohydrate is a weight loss agent/appetite suppressant that is in the diet pills he is taking. The ingredient by it’s self is a prescription only, but the pills he takes come from China and there fore are not regulated here.
He works for Wal-Mart so I am not sure what type of drug test they get.
It’s most likely NOT on any standard dipstick urine test. They might find it in a lab urine test but I’m sure they don’t routinely look for that. I’m an RN and I’ve never heard of that drug.
It’s mostly:
amphetamines
methamphetamine
THC
benzodiazipines
opiates
cocaine
alcohol
I might be forgetting one or two. If sibutramine falls into one of these categories then yes it would show up.
