where can I go on vacation and get spa services?
Looking for a health spa kind of vacation – want to lose a bit of weight, do some hiking , get some relaxation and get away from it all. I guess Im looking fo a kind of resort but focussed on health, not food and alcohol.
A “Destination Spa” is what you are looking for, not a Resort Spa. Destination Spas are focused on health and life enhancement, feature great hiking as well as several other activities and offer healthy spa cuisine only, no distilled beverages (wine OK at meals).
Pricing is between $1,200 and 8,000 for a 7 day stay and is inclusive of meals, accommodations, activities and some spa services. The spa treatment services depends on the price. Less expensive = few to none, more expensive = more inclusive.
There are only about 30 Destination Spas in North America as compared to the thousands of Resort Spas which are more vacation and pampering oriented. The Southwest and Northeast offer several options with a few in the Midwest and South.
