Is yoga and Pilates a good way to lose weight and tone up?
Pilates is great for toning up, but you MUST use it in conjuction with a healthy diet, and cardio exercise. Nothing strips fat like cardio exercise – Running, Cycling, Boxing (great for weight, strenght and toning) and mix up your intensity and length every couple of weeks to shock your body. ( to keep fat burning and your body fighting) There are a number of yoga styles. Some are good for strength and toning, where as others are good for relaxation, conscious levels etc. Research the different styles and pick the one best for your goals, but dont do too much at once so maybe hold off on the yoga till your a bit fitter because they can be very demanding. Make doing yoga a goal to achieve.
